In 2008, Dr. Ruth Reeves helped local flood victims recover from the historic flood that affected Columbus and other Indiana cities. For her service to the community, she received the Distinguished Alumnus Award from IUPUC.

Since then, she’s authored a book, There Was a Flood, for children who have experienced a flood.

Reeves earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in psychology from IUPUC in 2002. She later earned her master’s and doctorate degree in Clinical Psychology from the University of Indianapolis.

Today, she owns and operates a private counseling practice and works with veterans through the Department of Veterans Affairs in Indianapolis.
