After a trip to the Soviet Union as part of an IU language program, Nate Feltman added the country to his academic and career plans. He completed his undergraduate and law degrees at IU, then moved to Moscow to earn a master’s in Russian law. He worked there for three years before returning to Indiana to practice law.
That international experience proved valuable in Feltman’s work as a business lawyer. He combined this knowledge with his interest in public service when he was appointed as Secretary of Commerce for the State of Indiana. Through this work, he helped further develop and improve the state’s economy.
Feltman then moved into the private business sector, becoming co-owner of Home Health Depot. He then became a co-owner of the Indianapolis Business Journal and started NJF Consulting. He has served on several boards, including the IU Alumni Association Board of Directors. His varied experiences have provided him with skills and resources to share, and he has used them successfully and generously.
Feltman received a B.S. in business and political science from Indiana University in 1992, and a law degree from the McKinney School of Law in 1994.
